This was emphasized at a 2-day capacity building workshop on online asset declaration system organized by the center for social justice in conjunction with the code of conduct bureau and the Rule of law and anti corruption, RoLAC, Programme in Benin City.
Declaration of assets by public servants is one way of ensuring that corruption in public service is reduced to the barest and or eliminated totally.
The online asset declaration system is a new innovation to enhance the seamless process of declaring assets, hence the import of the workshop, according to the head of Education and advocacy, Code of conduct bureau, Koyonda Edward, who also spoke on the consequences of breaches in the declaration process.
