Sulaiman Aledeh is a distinguished International Journalist, Editor-at-Large, and Strategic Media and Communications Consultant, currently holding the position of Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief at Edo Broadcasting Service. He has made significant contributions to prominent international news channels, including Al Jazeera, SABC, and GB News UK. Prior to his current role, he was a leading news anchor at Arise News.
Sulaiman previously served as the Assistant General Manager and Head of Media and Communications for Nigeria’s foremost electricity distribution company, Eko Disco. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management and an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations. Additionally, he is the Founder of Aledeh Media Network, which publishes gatekeepersnews.com, an integrated online media platform.
With a robust career spanning over two decades in broadcast journalism across both radio and television, Sulaiman commenced his journey as a pioneer staff member at one of Africa’s leading media corporations. He hosted the flagship news programme on both News Central TV and TVC in Nigeria and played a key role in developing TVC’s grassroots governance programme, which aired on Radio and Television Continental.
His extensive experience at Channels Television involved working on Political Programmes, covering the 2011 and 2015 general elections. As a resourceful and resilient team player, Sulaiman has led teams in delivering over ten hours of continuous broadcasting, particularly during live coverage of election results. His expertise was further showcased during a special edition of Politics Today, which centred on the U.S. Presidential election.
Sulaiman holds a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian and Refugee Studies from the University of Lagos and has functioned as a Special Correspondent and News Anchor for Arise News in both London and Lagos.
Notably, Sulaiman created the television programme Political Stew on TVC, which provided a roadmap for the 2019 Nigerian General Elections. He subsequently replicated this success at News Central Television, where he created, anchored, and produced Politics HQ, another roadmap for Nigeria’s 2023 General Election.
Beyond his impressive broadcasting career, Sulaiman is a certified voice expert in the Hudson Voice Technique, trained at Voice Master International in the UK. He has provided voiceovers for major brands such as MTN, Glo, and DSTV. A seasoned compere and anchor, he has hosted high-profile events including the WimBiz Annual Conference in 2018, the unveiling of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s “Five Pillars of Development for Lagos,” and the Edo State Governorship debate.
Sulaiman is a proud alumnus of the U.S. State Department International Visitors Leadership Programme (Religious Freedom & Dialogue) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Challenges of Leadership in Teams).
