IDAHOSA CONGRATULATES EDO QUEENS ON CAF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION
Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, has congratulated Edo Queens on securing qualification for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, describing the achievement as a major milestone for women’s football in Edo State and Nigeria.
The deputy governor, commended the players, coaches and technical crew for their resilience and determination. He also praised Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration for its investment in sports development, while acknowledging the leadership of the Edo State Sports Commission Chairman, Amadin Enabulele.
He further stated that the qualification is a victory for Edo and Nigeria and proof that sustained investment in women’s football can produce results on the continental stage. He assured the team of Edo state government’s continued support, urging the players to remain focused as they prepare to represent Edo and Nigeria at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
