IDAHOSA GREETS MUSLIMS ON RAMADAN AND CHRISTIANS ON LENT.
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has urged muslim faithfuls to use this year’s Ramadan period to foster peace, security, and enhance unity across the state.
The deputy governor gave this advise while felicitating with the muslim Ummah on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, the deputy also extended heartfelt greetings to Christian faithful as they begin the sacred season of Lent.
The deputy governor noted that Ramadan and Lent are significant periods in the Islamic and Christian faiths that are usually marked by fasting, prayer, reflection, sacrifice, and renewed devotion to God.
He asserted that these sacred observances offer profound opportunities for spiritual rejuvenation, self-discipline, charity, and compassion toward one another, especially the less privileged in our communities.
Idahosa urged them to continue to pray for the progress, stability, and prosperity of Edo State and Nigeria at large.
