Benin City | July 29, 2025 — The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the constitution of a new Governing Council for the Edo State College of Education.
The announcement, which was made in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., listed the names of those appointed into the council.
The newly constituted Governing Council comprises:

Ephraim O. S. Aluebhosele – Chairman

ESV Isimekhai Zeenat Odion – Member

Ehigahlua Monday Ehiagwina – Member

Uwuigbe Victor – Member

Eigbe Godwin Ebatamehi – Member
According to the statement, the council will be inaugurated by Governor Okpebholo on a date that will be communicated later.
The move is seen as part of ongoing efforts by the state government to strengthen the administration and academic standards at the Edo State College of Education.
