Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is making a significant impact on the lives of citizens across the state through various developmental projects, particularly in the education and infrastructure sectors.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu, in a statement issued in Benin City. According to him, the state is witnessing a wave of positive transformation, as school renovations and other key projects are ongoing in various local government areas. He noted that the improved infrastructure will provide a more conducive learning environment for students who previously studied in dilapidated classrooms.
“The state is now like a construction site, and residents are proud of the visible progress they’re witnessing,” Ohonbamu stated. “This has led many to align with the administration’s ‘Project SHINE’ agenda.”
The Commissioner highlighted the recently held Edo Youth Impact Forum, where several youths were rewarded with two million naira each for their outstanding achievements. He described the initiative as a clear indication of Governor Okpebholo’s inclusive leadership style and commitment to youth empowerment.
Ohonbamu further revealed that the state government is executing community-driven projects across Edo, including the installation of functional boreholes to enhance access to potable water, the deployment of solar-powered electricity systems, and ongoing road construction. Other areas of focus include improved healthcare services, enhanced security, and agricultural support.
He assured Edo people that the Okpebholo-led administration remains committed to delivering visible and verifiable results that directly benefit the grassroots.
