GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the constitution of an Inter-Ministerial Planning Committee to plan, coordinate, organise and execute the 2026 Edo Carnival.
The Committee comprises the following officials:

Commissioner for Art, Culture and Creative Economy
3. Mr. Osiobughie Okhuemoi – Member

5. Sally Suleiman – Member
Special Adviser, Sustainable Development Goals

Terms of Reference of the Committee are as follows:
(i) To liaise with the management of Peak Rendezvous Entertainment Global Ltd. to develop a comprehensive event plan for the Carnival and ensure its successful, seamless and befitting execution;
(ii) To develop and coordinate the programme of activities for the Carnival;
(iii) To drive partnerships, sponsorships and collaborations with stakeholders in the entertainment, creative and cultural industries within and outside Edo State;
(iv) To represent the interests of the Edo State Government in all matters relating to the planning, organisation and execution of the Carnival; and
(v) To undertake any other assignment that may be necessary for the successful organisation and execution of the Carnival.
The Committee is expected to commence work immediately.
