Abuja – In a renewed move to strengthen intelligence-led policing as a core element of Nigeria’s internal security management, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on Thursday, inspected state-of-the-art intelligence installations at Idu Community, Abuja.
The inspection formed part of the strategic engagement of the Nigeria Police Force with local security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a homegrown security solutions provider, as part of ongoing collaborations aimed at enhancing the country’s security architecture.
Accompanied by senior officers including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), the IGP stressed that intelligence gathering remains the bedrock of modern policing.

Egbetokun, who is the 22nd Indigenous IGP, noted that the Police under his leadership is committed to deploying technology, innovation, and both indigenous and foreign expertise to stay ahead of evolving security threats. He said the new partnership would not only boost the Force’s operational capabilities but also strengthen public trust and deepen collaboration with stakeholders in the security sector.
While commending EIB STRATOC for its technological expertise, the IGP urged other security professionals and Nigerians at large to support the Police and other security agencies in adopting technology-driven intelligence solutions. According to him, this will ensure a more effective national security framework.
The Force spokesperson, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the visit in a statement from Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Augu
