Edo women will soon have access to one billion naira interest free loan as final modalities are been put in place.
Governor Monday Okpebholo gave the assurance during a grand ceremony held at the festival hall of government house to mark this year’s international women’s day.

With attention focused on women, their progress and challenges ,Edo governor senator Monday okpebholo while underscoring the important role women play in nation building especially in political galvanizing at the grassroots , affirmed that his government stands by for the course of women.
To prove this, one billion naira interest free loan will in no time be given to women.
Edesili Anani is the coordinator, office of Edo first lady, her message was, women should uphold each other , and build the next generation of women leaders.
Commissioner for women affairs,Bisi Idaomi hosted the event .
The event which had in attendance women from the 18 local government areas of the state was rounded with award to deserving individuals including arch Margaret idahosa, DP foundation, late capt. Hosa okunbo, oloti Atuwatse 111,queen consort warri kingdom, Mrs Vero VESA igbe, lady Aisha Achimugu amongst others
