GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO’S INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE
Today, I join millions of Nigerians at home and abroad to celebrate 66 years of our nationhood and the resilience, strength and enduring spirit of our great people.
As a government, our responsibility is to make life better and safer for our people. In Edo, we are working every day to protect lives and property, rebuild our roads, upgrade and strengthen our hospitals, improve our schools, support agriculture and create opportunities for our young people.
We have made progress, but there is still much more to do.
I remain committed to listening to our people, confronting our challenges and delivering practical governance that improves lives.
I commend the good people of Edo State for their patience, resilience and continued belief in our shared future. Let us continue to choose peace, unity, hard work and patriotism, and protect the public assets that belong to us all.
I also commend Mr. President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his efforts towards repositioning our nation for sustainable growth and development.
May God continue to bless Edo State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬
~ Sen. Monday Okpebholo

#SHINEAgendaFor the EBS website: I recommend using this version. The main body is already strong; the edits are mostly formatting and readability rather than changes to the Governor’s message.
