Edo State Government To Synergize With CONGOS In Projects Monitoring
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa says contracts awarded by the present administration would be effectively monitored to ensure that are executed according to specifications and in line with global best practices.
The Deputy Governor disclosed this when he played host to the President and executive members of the Conference of Non Governmental Organization on a courtesy visit to government house in Benin City.
EBS Lucky Igbinoba reports that the Deputy Governor also received a delegation from the Middle Belt Association, Edo state Chapter.
The Deputy Governor said the Civil Society Organizations are critical stakeholders in Edo governance and would be integrated into the process of deepening democracy and providing good governance to the people of the state.
The Deputy Governor told his guests that the bill for the establishment of a Commission for the physically challenged persons which was recently passed by the State House Of Assembly and assented to by the state government will soon be taken effect.
Earlier,the President of the Conference of Non Governmental Organizations, Bartholomew Okoudo, commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for improving the infrastructural development of the state just within 120 days in office.
Okoudo appealed for synergy between the state government and the association.
