The Deputy Governor of Edo state, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa has wished Muslim faithful meaningful and solemn Ramadan as the holy month begins.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa prayed for Allah’s guidance over everyone throughout the period.
Idahosa noted that during the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe fasting and abstain from worldly pleasures as a means of spiritual discipline and deepening their connection with Allah.
The deputy governo
referred to this as a demonstration of their faith that allows them to create a stronger bond in their communities.
He expressed hope that the month-long observance will strengthen kinship, foster forgiveness for past grievances, and allow a spirit of harmony.
He therefore charged Muslims in the state to use the period to pray for the government and the people of the state.
