This decision was unveiled in an official release signed by the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief, Sulaiman Aledeh.
In a bid to enhance the quality of broadcasting and align with contemporary global practices in radio journalism, EBS will replace the News Commentary with a new format focusing on editorial positions addressing substantial issues that impact the people of Edo, Nigeria, and the world at large.

The introduction of the editorial format will allow EBS to thoroughly explore significant topics, particularly those requiring urgent attention, such as the recent declaration of a state of emergency on education by Governor Monday Okpebholo. “Our new approach will inform our audience and empower them to engage thoughtfully with pressing matters,” Aledeh stated.
The frequency of these editorials will be based on the importance of the issues at hand, rather than on a daily schedule, ensuring that discussions remain serious and impactful. “That’s our editorial on this.
