Five members of the House of Representatives from Enugu State have defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defected members are Okei Martins, Anayo Onwugbu, Danis Nnamdi, Chidi Obetta and Nnolim Nnaji.
Similarly, the member representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Daniel Asama, has defected from Labour Party to the APC.
The defected members cited the crises and division in the PDP among the reasons for dumping the party.
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State and the National Chairman of APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, were at the Lower Chamber to witness the defection of the lawmakers.
