The coordinator, office of Edo first lady Edesili Anani who attended the handover of ten thousand health professional kits to midwives in Delta and Taraba states which had in attendance wives of selected state governors including the coordinator, office of Edo first lady.
The distribution of health kits is part of the health scheme under the renewed Hope Initiative which comprises women empowerment, Agricultural scheme and assistance to the elderly.
While noting that the freely distributed health kits to midwives across zones in the country will go a long way in reducing matenal mortality where Nigeria is currently stands at over one thousand per hundred thousand live births.
