Afam Ogene Emerges Spokesperson of House Minority Caucus
The Minority Caucus of the 10th House of Representatives has announced the appointment of Afam Ogene as its Spokesperson.
According to a press statement signed by the Minority leader of the House Fredrick Agbedi, the appointment was approved at a meeting of the Caucus held online.
Ogene, who represents Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State and serves as Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDP) Caucus in the House, is a ranking legislator and respected parliamentarian with extensive legislative experience and a strong commitment to democratic governance.
In his new role, Ogene will serve as the official voice of the Minority Caucus, articulating its positions on national issues, strengthening communication with Nigerians, and advancing the Caucus’s constitutional responsibility of providing effective oversight and holding the Executive accountable.
The Minority Caucus expressed confidence in his capacity to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the office and called on members of the media and the general public to extend their cooperation and support as he assumes the important assignment.
