APC Edo Mourns Charles Idahosa, Describes Him as Party Stalwart

Benin City — The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the passing of Hon. Charles Idahosa, describing his death as a painful loss to the party and the political community in the state.

In a condolence message issued on behalf of the party, the APC said Hon. Idahosa was a committed and loyal member whose contributions to the growth, consolidation, and grassroots strength of the party in Edo State were significant and enduring.

According to the party, the late Idahosa was deeply involved in party organisation, mobilisation, and political engagement, driven by his belief in progressive governance, unity, and service to the people.

The APC noted that throughout his political career, Hon. Idahosa distinguished himself as a forthright leader, dependable party man, and bridge-builder who worked tirelessly to strengthen internal cohesion and advance the ideals of the party. His commitment to party discipline, democratic values, and effective leadership earned him respect among party leaders, colleagues, and supporters across the state.

The party further stated that Hon. Idahosa brought experience, wisdom, and integrity to every responsibility he undertook, adding that his counsel was valued and his loyalty unquestioned.

“The APC Edo State Chapter mourns the loss of a great stalwart, a devoted leader, and a true progressive, whose passing is a painful loss not only to his immediate family but also to the entire APC family and the political community in Edo State,” the statement read.

While bidding farewell to the late party leader, the APC said it takes solace in the legacy of service, commitment, and loyalty he left behind.

The party extended its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, political associates, and supporters of the deceased, while praying for strength for the family and eternal rest for his soul.

The statement was signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Barrister Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie.
