The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully airlifted hundreds of students from the Air Force Military School and the Air Force Girls Military School, both located in Jos, Plateau State, to various destinations across the country.
In a statement released via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, the NAF said the special operation was part of its continued efforts to support personnel and their families.
According to the statement, the students — identified as Junior Airmen and Junior Airwomen — were transported using the NAF’s C-130 Hercules and ATR-42 aircraft in a coordinated airlift mission that spanned multiple states.
“The Nigerian Air Force carried out a series of airlift missions, transporting hundreds of Junior Airmen and Junior Airwomen from Air Force Military School and Air Force Girls Military School, Jos, to various destinations across the country,” the statement read. “The NAF’s iconic C-130 and ATR-42 aircraft soared across Nigerian skies, not for combat, but for care.”
The Air Force further described the mission as more than a logistical task, calling it “a symbol of hope, love, and unity.”
“Watching their children arrive home safely and swiftly has boosted morale and reaffirmed trust in the Force that guards our skies,” the statement added.
This humanitarian initiative underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families, even beyond the line of duty.
