The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight has announced the rescheduling of its planned interactive session with the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd.).
The session, initially slated for Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM, was postponed following a formal request by Vice Admiral Ibas seeking a later date.
The committee had earlier invited the Sole Administrator for a comprehensive engagement on developments in Rivers State, as part of its ongoing oversight responsibilities.
In a statement issued by the House Spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi, the committee confirmed receipt of the request and assured the public that efforts are underway to agree on a new date.
“In the spirit of transparent and effective oversight, the committee will promptly inform the public once the rescheduled date is confirmed,” the statement read.
The committee reiterated its commitment to accountability and constructive dialogue in its oversight of state affairs.
