26-06-2026—GOVT CELEBRATES IHONVBERE AT 70
The Edo State Government has joined family, friends and admirers across Nigeria in celebrating the 70th birthday of renowned academic, lawmaker and statesman, Professor Julius Ogar Ihonvbere.
In a goodwill message, Governor Monday Okpebholo described the House of Representatives Majority Leader as one of Edo State’s most distinguished sons, whose contributions to education, public service and national development have earned him widespread respect and recognition.
The Governor said Professor Ihonvbere has continued to project the image of Edo State positively through his accomplishments in academia, public service and legislative leadership at the national level.
He noted that the celebrant’s journey from the classroom to the forefront of national politics reflects a life dedicated to excellence, democratic ideals and service to humanity.
The Governor congratulated the elder statesman on attaining the milestone age of 70 and wished him continued good health, wisdom and many more years of impactful service to Edo State and Nigeria.
