INSECURITY: Kidnap escapee recounts ordeal

Escaping from the den of kidnappers is often said to be as difficult as passing through the eyes of a needle, a pointer to its difficulty.

The kidnap victim, one of the seven captives, including Rev. Fr. Philip Ekeli and Seminarian Peter Andrew, explained that he managed to escape the terrifying ordeal while the kidnappers were asleep, after spending weeks in captivity.

The Unemeh Uzanu man further confirmed to security personnel that the seminarian had been killed by the kidnappers, while Rev. Fr. Philip Ekeli was still alive at the time of his escape.

When questioned on the possibility of tracking the kidnappers, the victim explained that the kidnappers don’t have a particular hideout
