Alausa Launches National Policy on Anti-Bullying in Nigerian Schools .

Alausa, has launched the National Policy on Anti-Bullying in Nigerian Schools .

 

The launch signaled government’s commitment to fostering safer and more inclusive learning environments nationwide .

 

The event afforded Alausa the opportunity to highlight recent achievements and ongoing initiatives across key focus areas, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), STEM education and girl-child empowerment .

 

Alausa reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to data-driven reforms and citizen feedback as integral components of the broader Nigerian Education Sector Renewal Initiative.

 

Fielding questions Alausa emphasized the need to fully migrate national examinations to Computer-Based Tests and (CBT) which he disclosed will begin with NECO and WAEC exams in November 2025, with full implementation expected by 2027.

 

He also announced the resolution of the controversy surrounding eligibility of part-time National Diploma (ND) graduates’ participation in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

 

Minister of State for Education, Suweiba Ahmed on her part, emphasized that transforming Nigeria’s education system requires collective responsibility, accountability, and stronger collaboration between government, civil society, and stakeholders at all levels.

 

The event was graced by Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Education, Senator Mukhtar Dandutse.
