*TRAFFIC DIVERSION IN BENIN CITY AHEAD OF THE VISIT OF THE FIRST LADY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA*
This is to inform the general public that Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON), First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will be visiting Benin City, Edo State, on *Thursday 15th October, 2026*, to commission the fleet of New CNG Buses Purchased by the Edo State Government and to empower 5,000 Edo women.
In view of this, there will be traffic diversion and temporary road closures in some parts of Benin City.
*Affected Roads:*
– Joromi Junction by Ekewan Road will be blocked.
– Stadium Road by Ekewan Road Junction will also be blocked.
*Alternative Routes:*
– Motorists coming from Ekewan Road to Ring Road are advised to use College Road.
*Parking:*
– All vehicles coming for the programme are advised to park inside the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Ekewan Campus.
*Time of Diversion:* 6 AM to 6 PM.
All motorists are advised to use alternative routes and comply with traffic officers on duty.
