- EDO STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR URGE FATHERS TO EMBRACE RESPONSIBLE PARENTING.
The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has charged fathers, guardians, and father figures to embrace responsible parenting, describing their role as critical to building strong families and a better society.
In a Father’s Day message issued by his Chief Press Secretary,Friday Aghedo, Idahosa commended fathers for their sacrifices and commitment to family development, noting that effective fatherhood goes beyond providing financial support.
The Deputy Governor further urged fathers to dedicate quality time to their children through mentorship, communication, and positive engagement, stressing that children learn from the actions of their parents than their words.
According to him, there is an urgent need for fathers to collaborate with mothers and caregivers in creating supportive home environments, noting that stronger families contribute to safer communities and a prosperous Edo State. He commended fathers across the state and Nigeria for their resilience and sacrifices, wishing them a happy Father’s Day celebration.
