ANNOUNCING A NEW ERA: EBS GOES DIGITAL ON FREE TV

We are excited to announce that, in line with the Federal Government’s July Digital Switch-Over (DSO) directive, Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS) has been officially recognised by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to join the esteemed Free TV platform.

This milestone is the result of shared vision and unwavering commitment. We are deeply grateful to the Director-General of the NBC, Dr Charles Ebuebu, and his exceptional team for their guidance and for recognising EBS’s potential to enhance the national digital landscape.

At a local level, this vision was driven by the steadfast support of His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo. Your Excellency, your vision of a modernised, world-class EBS is now taking shape. Thank you for providing the resources and inspiration to surpass our limits.

To our EBS Engineering Team: you are the unseen heroes of this transition. Your dedicated efforts behind the scenes ensured a smooth test transmission. Thanks to you, we are ready to go live.

Soon, our signal will broadcast via Nigcomsat to every part of Nigeria and beyond through the Free TV App. The heart of Edo is now connected to the world.
