Benin City, Nigeria — In a bold step towards redefining television journalism in Nigeria, the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of EBS Nigeria, Sulaiman Aledeh, has announced the launch of EBS Tonight, a flagship news programme set to debut in its new format on August 4.
“I am delighted to share a groundbreaking development in our broadcasting journey. Starting from August 4, EBS Tonight, our flagship news programme, will transform into a two-hour, nonstop news extravaganza. This expanded format will broadcast from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, offering comprehensive news coverage, in-depth analysis from industry experts, and engaging interviews,” Aledeh stated.
The initiative marks a historic first as the only dedicated evening news programme of its kind originating from the South of Nigeria. It reflects the station’s “unwavering commitment to delivering timely, insightful, and compelling news to our viewers across Nigeria and beyond,” Aledeh added.
