The Court of Appeal has ruled in favor of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, by allowing his cross-appeal in the ongoing legal battle with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
In a major development, the appellate court invalidated and struck out the record of proceedings related to the 133 BVAS (Bimodal Voter Accreditation System) machines tendered as evidence by Ighodalo and the PDP during the tribunal hearing.
The court’s decision marks a significant setback for the PDP’s case. Judgment is still being delivered as proceedings continue.
