Benin City, May 16, 2025 — The Edo State Government has announced a fresh recruitment drive through the Edo State Transport Authority (ESTA) to fill driver positions for its newly launched Edo Line Transport Limited.
According to a statement signed by the Managing Director of ESTA, Hon. Henshaw Oligbi, the recruitment is part of the government’s efforts to boost inter-city and inter-state transport services across the state and the nation.
The notice calls for applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are not less than 25 years old. Interested applicants are required to submit their applications in a sealed envelope marked “Applicant Driver” to the Managing Director’s office, located at Floor 3, Block A, Secretariat Complex, Sapele Road, Benin City.
Applications must be submitted on or before the 23rd of May, 2025, and should be accompanied by the following documents:
O’ Level certificate or its equivalent
Valid National Driver’s Licence
Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
Certificate of Local Government of Origin
National Identity Card
Trade Test Certificate (Grade III, II, or I)
The announcement also warns that late applications will not be considered.
