The Edo State Government is aware of the growing concerns around incidents of armed robbery, banditry, terrorism, assassinations, ritual killings, and kidnapping across the state. In response, the government has decided to reorganize and restructure the Edo State Security Corps to make it more effective and efficient in tackling these challenges.
To achieve this, a committee has been established to oversee the recruitment and training of qualified candidates into the Corps.
Recruitment Details
Shortlisted candidates will be drawn from all Local Government Areas in Edo State and will include:

Local hunters
-
Vigilantes
-
Retired military and police personnel
-
Other interested citizens, both indigenes and long-term non-indigenous residents
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must:

Possess a basic educational background
-
Be of sound mind and physically fit
-
Have no criminal record
-
Not be affiliated with any secret cult
-
Have prior experience in the security sector (an added advantage)
Required References and Guarantors
Applicants must provide:

Two (2) community references – individuals well known within the local community
-
Three (3) close acquaintances
-
Two (2) guarantors – one must be the Local Government Chairman, and the other a clergy (Pastor or Imam)
