Benin City, April 29, 2025 — The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has ordered the immediate suspension of Dr. Caulson Osoikhia Oahimire, the Executive Secretary of the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
This directive was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., on Monday. According to the announcement, the suspension follows allegations of serious financial and official misconduct leveled against Dr. Oahimire.
In the interim, the most senior staff of the agency will assume leadership duties in a functioning capacity. A special committee is to be set up by the government to investigate the allegations and submit its findings to the Governor.
The suspension underscores the state government’s commitment to accountability and due process in the management of public offices.
