In a landmark move to deepen its impact at home, Etsako Club 81 has officially launched its home branch after more than four decades of socio-cultural development work across Nigeria and in the diaspora.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Aliko Dangote Auditorium, Edo University Iyamho, in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. The event was attended by dignitaries, members of the club, and well-wishers.
In their speeches and lectures, prominent individuals commended the club for this significant milestone, marking a new chapter in its history of community engagement and cultural preservation.
As part of the ceremony, certificates of formation and membership were presented to the chairman of the newly established home branch, Chief Habib Ekhalefo, and other members. The oath-taking ceremony was officiated by legal practitioner Barr. Sadiq Ilegieuno.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to distinguished sons and daughters of Afemai land. Among the honorees was Hajia Ashetu Oshiomhole, mother of former Edo State Governor, for her notable contributions to the development of the region.
